    Departments Of Food Technology

The Department of Food Technology was established in 2004 in our institution.The Department of Food Technology play an important role in imparting education to train the man power through offering Diploma Programme in Food Technology. This will meet the increasing demand of trained and qualifies manpower by the growing food industries not only within state but outside the state also. The department is presently working in the direction to develop new ways for batter utilization of agriculture products through processing and preservation. The department of Food Technology has established linkages with various food industries to import practical training of the student.
The department has developed simple technologies to save the food from spoilage and to find the cheap source for the nutritious food for the community and to promote establishment of cottage industries.

Labs
The Electronics and Communication Department consists of following labs:

Food proceesing lab:-
This lab is used for processing and preservation of various foods and vegetables.this technology is used in modern methods like:-
National(PFA,FPO,BIS,AGMARK,MFPO,GPO

  • ETC)and international standards (CODEX,FAO,FDA,USDA,EEC etc)
  • Quality assurances and quality control of food
  • Processed food are one of the fastest growing areas of our economy.
  • Canned cherries vegetables,dehydrated vegetables,paste,puree,&sauces,fruit pulp,canned squashes and preserved vegetables,pickles,chutneys,malted drinks,candies,chocolates etc are the areas to be taken

Hi-TECH LAB
In hi-tech lab there are hi-tech instruments which are used for analysing the food materials like, to check the tecture,elasicity,viscosity of the material. This lab helps the students to learn the basic things of analysing which helps them in future.
