Computer Engineering department was established in 1989 in our institution.The primary objective of the Diploma in Computer Engg. is to impart a high level of professional education and practical training at par with the international standards of Computer Science. Basic qualification for admission to three year diploma program has been changed from 12th to 10th with effect from 2004.The number of seats have also been increased from 10 to 30 (w.e.f 2002). The curriculum is revised time to timeby the State Board of Technical Education and is designed keeping in mind the needs of the computer industry. |

Help is taken from people from industry and faculty of NITTTR so as to have latest curriculum in polytechnics.The course contents are designed in such a way that the students are well versed in both Hardware handling and Software development.The Department has the latest software packages and the latest Hardware technologies installed in the different labs.
The Department has well qualified and experienced staff. Staff is regularly sent to NITTTR for advanced courses in latest computer technologies. The Department has internet connectivity.

| The computer center consists of following labs: |
LAB 1:-
Has a total of 17 working Pcs computers system Wipro make with an HP Scanjet XPO scanner and a Samsung
ML1210 laser printer. This lab is chiefly used for Computer Basics, Tallyand Internet surfing. |

LAB 2:-
Has a total of 16 working PIV Computers systems of Wipro Make .This Lab is primamrilly
used for the regular batches, the lab is connected over a private LAN and can be used for the internet required

LAB 3:-
Has standalone HP Compaq DX6100 machines.Each machine has an individual
APC UPS backup.The LAB is equipped with an Interactive borad which can be used by the facuty to demonstrate the working of the computer systems through the power point prescntations.Besides there is a computer trainer kit which is used to demonstrate the computer hardware components and peripherals.
This LAB is divided into two halves one of which is exclusivelly used for the desk top
publishing classes. |

This lab is utilized by the Community Ming of the college for importing the Computer Basic Classes
The LAB is equiped with PCS PIII machines. |

The LAB is used to fulfill the Screen printing needs of the Desktop publishing students.
Here, we do outsource as well as in-source work. |
