Flexibility:
In order to provide flexibility to the students, one can be awarded diploma even if he/she fails to earn a maximum of 5 credits for a subject in athree year programme provided one fulfills the conditions of attendance and internal assessment |
| Note: In the credit system, certain number of credits are assigned to each subject. These
are based on the number of contact hour/week spread over a semester. A subject having one hour theory or two hours of practical work (tutorial, laboratory, workshop, drawing, field/industrial training etc) per week in a semester is designated as one creditAs per AICTE norms, it is desired that a minimum of 16 weeks of teaching in asemester must be made available for the course work with 40 contact hours per week.
