Proper finger manipulation on the key board,  practice of Typing manuscripts containing proof correction signs, operation of the key board and location of various parts of the typewriter, insertion of paper and margins fixing, carriage return, line space adjustment. Operation of top keys on typewriter, operation of home keys on typewriter, speed development exercise. Attainment of 30 words speed per minute
Short hand:Use of consonants, vowels and their placement, use of up and down use of dipthong, grammalogues and their uses, use of circles and loops, Initial and final hooks/shun hooks, use of  compound consonants, Use of halving/doubling principles, use of prefixes and suffixes. Attainment of 60 words speed per minute
