In pursuance of the policy of NITTTR (National Institute of Technical Teachers, Traning and Research) Chandigarh to improve quality of polytechnic education system, it was decided by the management of NITTTR to give best polytechnic award to five selected polytechnics. The Govt Polytechnic Womens was selected for the best Polytechnic Award. A shield and a merit certificate was awarded to this polytechnic. Under the leadership of the principal, the polytechnic faculty, staff and the students have worked as a team to achieve predefined goals and objectives emanating from the vision and mission statements of the institution.The areas that have received special attention and have enhanced the status of the polytechnic are: |

The polytechnic has established it’s brand name and has made a mark in the society. The threats have become motivators for change and proactive action. thoughtful planning precedes every action. Systemic reforms like E-governence, digital library, IRG, IICI, networking, optimutilization of institutional resources and cost recovery area expected to enhanced internal as well as external efficiency. |
