Due to devastating floods, which occurred in the valley on 3/9/2006, extensive damage was caused to the equipments, furnishings, materials and facilities in the institutions. With valiant the courageous efforts of the faculty/staff, major movable equipments were saved by shifting them to safe heights. After the floods a flood damage control committee was framed to assess the loss and to devise strategies are future flood disaster management. All the restorations and clean up operation was conducted by the polytechnic faculty and staff.
